Through the mountains to the Ziach & Candy
Even before you arrive, you’ll be taking in the Salzburg landscape. The road leads through valleys and past mountain peaks. At St. Johann im Pongau, turn into the Grossarltal valley, where you’ll see the road winding deeper into the valley ahead of you. The mountains draw closer – and then you find yourself at the Ziach & Candy.

For your satnav: Unterbergstraße 62, 5611 Grossarl. Take the A10 Tauern motorway to the Bischofshofen exit. Continue on the B311 towards St. Johann im Pongau. There, at the Alpendorfstraße junction, turn towards Grossarl. Once you arrive in Grossarl, take the first exit at the roundabout, signposted “Unterberg Mitte”. After around 650 metres, you’ll see us on the right-hand side.

You can park for free at the hotel. Underground parking spaces are available here and at the Kieserlbahn valley station, subject to availability. If you prefer a guaranteed space, you can reserve a fixed underground parking spot for €7.00. An e-charging station is also available in the underground car park for an additional fee.
Our nearest train station is St. Johann im Pongau. From there, a taxi will bring you directly to us in around 20 minutes. Alternatively, take bus line 540 towards Hüttschlag-Stockham and get off at the Sportzentrum stop – from there, it’s just a two-minute walk.
Good to know: as soon as we have your booking details, we can arrange your mobility ticket with the tourist office in advance. You’ll receive it by email and can use it for free travel by train and bus from Salzburg onwards.
Salzburg Airport is around an hour away. The drive takes you through Salzburger Land and straight into the valley. From Munich Airport, the journey takes around two hours. Shared taxis can be arranged through the Grossarl Tourist Office at a cost of around €100. Or you can hire a car and enjoy the drive through the mountains.
Hiking boots for the hikes that start right on our doorstep. In winter, bring your ski equipment – or you can hire what you need on site. Some swimwear for laid-back moments. And a curiosity for regional cuisine. We’ll take care of the rest.
