In winter, the Grossarltal valley becomes a snowy paradise of outdoor adventures. The Grossarl-Dorfgastein ski area lies almost on our doorstep, with more than 80 kilometres of slopes for ambitious skiers, leisurely cruisers, and families alike. If you prefer to leave the groomed pistes behind, you’ll find beautiful ski-touring routes through untouched winter landscapes. What’s more, cross-country trails run through the valley, winter walking trails invite you out into the snow, and snowshoe hikers will discover places that seem to glow in the winter light. Tobogganing, ice skating, or even ice climbing? In Pongau, your winter adventures have no limits.
